We have been eagerly awaiting the analysis and evaluation of our labour market figures from last year 2021. These figures are entirely dominated by COVID-19. The effects of the pandemic and the associated tensions on the Swiss labour market are more than palpable. This barometer impressively shows the manifold consequences of COVID-19 and compares the values with the two previous years.
The Barometer 2021 concerns the whole of Switzerland and is based on information from 1’762 employees affected by layoffs from 185 companies from various sectors that had to announce layoffs in Switzerland in 2020. It thus provides a representative picture of the Swiss labour market in 2021.
