HR Research Survey: Termination Practices

von Rundstedt, in collaboration with the leading Swiss HR magazine HR Today, once again conducted a large survey on the Swiss labour market between April and August 2021. The aim of this year’s survey was to learn more about the termination practices of Swiss companies. We thus paint a complete and differentiated picture of the termination culture in Switzerland. The survey focused on various questions about the scope of dismissals, profiles of those affected, reasons for dismissal, professionalism and behaviour in the case of individual dismissals as well as in the case of mass dismissals, support services after dismissal as well as on the handling of job references, references and virtual dismissals in lockdown. In addition to the termination issue, we also sought opinions on other labour market topics and trends this year.

950 company representatives took part in the survey, most of them HR managers or executives. The results are available differentiated by industry, language region and company size.
